# Atom Modbus Library development kit
Start here. This folder contains the C TCP engine, CODESYS runtime component,
original generated ABI files, compatibility export, supplied ExtensionSDK,
regression tests and build documentation.
## Build on the Pi
Install build-essential, make, m4, sed, dos2unix and python3. In this folder run:
```sh
./tools/build-linux.sh linux-aarch64
```
The output and build metadata are placed in dist/0.2.0/linux-aarch64/.
To run the native socket regression tests: `make test`.
## CODESYS
Import compat/AtomModbus-Compatible.export into a copy of your existing Atom
library. This is the latest dispatch-fixed export. Read compat/README.md for
interfaces, dependencies and ownership rules. Keep CmpAtomModbus as the external
function library and add it with namespace CmpAtomModbus.
No editable .library projects, compiled libraries or ARM64 .so were uploaded
in this session, so none are included. Save your actual CmpAtomModbus.library
and Atom library projects in codesys/ when you have them. Exports are backups,
not substitutes for the complete library projects and their metadata.
Read docs/BUILD.md, docs/PACKAGING.md and docs/TROUBLESHOOTING.md.
This bundle is development revision 0.5; ABI/component version remains 0.2.0.0.
The CODESYS changes still require compilation and target testing.
